Consumer Attorneys of California: “A World Without Lawyers”

by Gary Gwilliam on August 4, 2010

What would the world be like without lawyers? It sounds like the precursor to a punchline and every bad joke made in jest about the legal profession. Yet, reality is often clouded  when people think about the root causes to problems based on their own limited perspective or a perception formed through misinformation.

The Consumer Attorney’s of California video “A World Without Lawyers” is an entertaining yet sobering look at why our world is a better place with lawyers willing and able to represent citizens against gigantic corporate interests who too often are determined to act without penalty. Whether it is a case involving an exploding gas tank, scalding liquid, or medical malpractice,  lawyers are there to defend victims and bring about change that will hold corporations responsible for their actions. How would you defend yourself and your interests in a conflict without lawyers?

How We Represent Our Clients: The Team Concept

A team is assigned to your case. We support you with one of the firm’s partners (someone with anywhere from 25 to 40 years of trial experience), an associate attorney, a paralegal and a secretary. We have found that this approach enables us to devote the essential time and painstaking attention to case preparation and research. Our approach also ensures that someone who is familiar with your case will almost always be available to respond to your needs and answer your questions throughout the process.

We actually do need attorneys, otherwise things just wouldn’t work and people wouldn’t be able to balance out the power and stop people from doing bad things.
