Like so many of my colleagues and peers, a big part of staying in touch with our profession is participating in events. One of the best ways to stay connected, to people and the issues of the day, is to attend local industry association events. One of the best local events in Northern California is the 41st Annual Alameda-Contra Costa Trial Lawyers Association “Judges Night” event. This year’s event, January 17, 2012, was held at the beautiful Claremont Resort & Spa in Berkeley, California.
Special Guest: Chief Justice Tani Gorre Cantil-Sakauye
One of the reasons this event is so successful is the outstanding special guests and contributors assembled each year. This year was no exception with California Chief Justice Tani Cantil-Sakauye in attendance as the Special Guest. Congratulations to Cheif Justice Cantil-Sakauye for her continued hard work and efforts to help California courts weather the budget-cut storm.
Honorees
Two stalwarts in our legal community were honored: Honorable Judge Judy Craddick and Honorable Judge Carol Brosnahan. Judge Judy Craddick serves as a judge for the Superior Court of Contra Costa County. Judge Carol Brosnahan serves as a judge for the Superior Court of Alameda County. Congratulations for a job very well done!
